I have a confession to make! When I was seven years old and living in Marblehead, Massachusetts, I remember stealing tulips from the public gardens at the rotary for a Mother’s Day gift. As an adult I would clip lilacs from the bushes in my garden to place in every vase I owned, all throughout the house. I would claim sea lavender on the shore, dry them and use to make beautiful arrangements. What I call “backgardia” has become a career these past years.
Melissa Lewis bought Table Tops, Etc. in April of 2003 after the founder re-located to California. Previously, Ms. Lewis founded a successful Scottsdale retail rose floral company, which she sold in 2000 to specialize in event floral design as opposed to retail floral. Throughout her life, Melissa has tried her hand at all sorts of art forms including, quilting, sewing, knitting and found that floral design and weddings have become the medium for her to create the beauty she feels compelled to create. Weddings are her palate.
Mrs. Lewis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French Literature from Colorado College. She has attended numerous acclaimed floral design classes throughout the country.

Friendly, customer service driven, entrepreneurial, creative out of the box thinker who loves to take ideas & run with them; in turn creating spectacular events & moments. My mind is constantly racing with new and innovative ideas! I have always been creative using all of my spare time doing crafts and helping friends and family make things beautiful! I wanted a career that was more to me then a job. I have worked in the corporate arena for most of my life & just felt like my career was not fulfilled. I have always wanted to own my own business & feel as if I am making a difference. I love coming to work & being creative all day! Working in this industry has allowed me to connect with people on such a deeper level. I am surrounded by people who are happy. Lets face it. If you are getting married or hosting an event it is a very happy time for everyone. I am blessed to be able to share these times with our customers.
Details really do set us apart. We work very hard to respond to questions in a timely manner and to us, follow-up is key. We pride ourselves in working with 4 and 5-Star resorts. In turn we provide the same type of 5-Star service to our clients.
